Cat Invaders Checkpoints

Version 1.1 made a wipe something other than a full lobby reset.

Checkpoints Guide

Before Version 1.1, a lot of YouTube routes treated one death as a trip back to the lobby. That advice is stale. OneBed Studio added checkpoints in the same patch that shipped Engineer, new cats, and the Vampire weapon line. This page is how those flags change a real run in Cat Invaders (also listed as Cat Invasion).

If you have not redeemed Gold yet, do that first on the codes hub. Checkpoints do not print currency. They save progress so the next attempt is not wave 1 melee again.

What a checkpoint actually saves

A checkpoint is a wave block, not a full inventory snapshot of the Roblox account. After you clear the flagged stretch — most players feel the first real flag around the Floppa fight — a wipe respawns you closer to that block instead of deleting the whole session.

You keep:

  • Shop ranks you already bought on that character for the run
  • Class you unlocked
  • Codes you already redeemed (codes are account-once anyway)

You do not keep:

  • A dead teammate’s Gold in an 18-player server (their wallet was never yours)
  • Temporary merchant stock that rotated off
  • A script GUI that crashed. Restart the executor; the flag is in the experience, not in the loadstring

Treat the flag as a practice room for the next named cat, not as a skip. El Gato still wants splash. See named bosses.

How to play around flags

  1. Push a clean Getting Started opener so the first flag is not a naked melee run.
  2. Buy regen armor before you ego the nametag. A checkpoint after a wipe with no armor is still a wipe with no armor.
  3. If the server allows pause, shop at the flag, not during a laser.
  4. Co-op: call the checkpoint. Six people running back from spawn while two people fight is how public lobbies throw a saved wave.
  5. Solo: this is the mode checkpoints love. Spawns clump, pause is yours, and you are not waiting on a Knight who left.

Controls still matter. Aim assist on. Do not turn the flag into a museum visit.

What checkpoints do not fix

  • A shop that dumped Gold into walls. Wood does not scale into high waves.
  • Standing in green ground. The puddle does not respect flags.
  • Missing the daily that unlocks Alchemist. Checkpoints are combat; dailies are calendar.
  • Expired codes. RELEASE will not come back because you hit a flag. Archive: expired codes.

If you use auto farm and the character freezes on a checkpoint load, that is a script desync after a client update. Play by hand or wait. Version 1.1 already broke a week of loaders; it will happen again.

Version 1.1 context

The group wall listed checkpoints next to Engineer, new bosses, new weapons, and new perks. Full snapshot: Version 1.1. Older VODs that say “one death equals lobby” were recorded before that post. Trust the live HUD. If you respawn on the grass near the last nametag instead of the lobby fountain, you have a flag.

Engineer turrets placed before a wipe may or may not persist depending on how the instance rebuilds. Do not bet a run on a turret you cannot see. Rebuild DPS first, then toys.

Session plan that uses flags

Night 1: codes, range, Floppa, take the flag, log off if it is late. The fish will still be there.

Night 2: start from the flag, buy food, fight El Gato, stop if the shop is dry.

Golden Weekend: ignore the polite plan. x2 Gold is when you chain flags in one sitting. Details: Golden Weekend.

Public 18-player servers can still kick you to a worse instance. If the checkpoint feels missing, rejoin from the official Roblox URL on the links hub, not from a friend’s broken server.

Badges versus checkpoints

Badges are account trophies. Checkpoints are run state. You can own Defeat Floppa and still wipe before El Gato if you spend the flag on cosmetics. Track rates on badges. Use flags to farm the next trophy, not to pose.

There is no Trello that lists exact wave numbers for every flag. OneBed Studio did not publish a spreadsheet. If a TikTok sells a checkpoint map, it is fan art. Learn the nametags, shop from upgrade priority, and leave when the wallet is empty. The next flag is cheaper than a stubborn wipe.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Cat Invaders questions.

Do Cat Invaders checkpoints skip Floppa?

No. They save a wave block after you earn it. You still have to beat the nametag once.

When were checkpoints added?

Version 1.1, with Engineer, new cats, and the Vampire weapon line. Older "one death equals lobby" videos are outdated.

Do checkpoints save Gold?

They keep shop ranks you already bought on that run. They do not print extra Gold or rerun codes.

Should I play solo to use checkpoints?

Solo is the cleanest. Public 18-player lobbies can still throw a saved wave if nobody calls the flag.
