Cat Invaders Getting Started

First session checklist from lobby codes to the wave-50 armor purchase.

Getting Started

Your first Cat Invaders session should end with more Gold, a ranged weapon that actually clears packs, and a mental note of where the fish pile sits. It should not end with maxed walls and a chicken leg. This beginner guide is the day-one route we send people after they leave the codes hub.

The Roblox experience is a survival wave defense: meme cats walk at your base, you spend Gold between (or during) waves, and classes change the kit. Servers allow online co-op up to 18, but the cleanest tutorial is solo with aim assist on.

Minute zero

  1. Redeem 25MVISITS and 1MMEMBERS using how to redeem.
  2. Open settings and turn aim assist on if you are on mobile or a controller. Details live in controls.
  3. Look at the base. The cats want the food stack. You are not defending a random hill; you are defending calories.
  4. Note the shop tabs: weapons (melee and ranged), food, armor, walls, classes, perks.
  5. Start the first wave. Do not AFK in the lobby hoping Gold appears.

The first 200 Gold

Use the starter melee weapon until you have about 200 Gold. Melee is faster cash than a weak snowball because early cats die in two swings and drop coins at your feet. Then pause the wave (or wait for the shop window) and buy the first ranged upgrade — usually the snowball line.

High-wave players keep repeating this idea: range is the win condition, melee is the bootstrap. The weapon tier list ranks snowball upgrades, yarn balls, bows, grenades, and late laser cannons. You do not need that full table yet. You need to stop swinging a turkey at wave 30.

If a merchant walks in with a coin boost, buy it before cosmetics. Codes plus a boost is how beginners skip the dead zone between wave 15 and wave 35.

Waves 10 to 40

Stay at mid range. Upgraded snowballs and later yarn projectiles splash. Standing on the spawn is greedy; standing on the fish is how you get swarmed. Strafe along the wooden walls, dump shots into clumps, and eat tuna or other food when the HUD health dips.

Do not max walls yet. Walls without damage just delay a wipe. Follow upgrade priority if you want the shopping order written as a checklist.

Class-wise, pick something you understand:

  • Snowman if you want more AoE on the snowball fantasy.
  • Medic if you queued with friends and someone will actually die.
  • Knight if you keep face-tanking and need armor synergy.
  • Skip Alchemist for now unless you already claimed the day-7 daily.

Wave 50 checkpoint

This is where beginners meet Floppa. The cat is huge, has lasers, and will walk through a pretty wall. Around 3,000 Gold, buy the regen armor people mention in wave tutorials. Then kite. Do not plant yourself on the fish and trade.

Read how to beat Floppa before you treat wave 50 like wave 20. The short version: keep moving, eat food, let armor regen, and use range so you are not in swipe range.

If you wipe, you still learned the shop. Restart, redeem is already done, and push the same ranged path harder. The high-wave guide is the sequel, not the first homework.

Daily rewards and Alchemist

Log in across seven days. The community consistently reports Alchemist as a day-7 daily claim, not a code and not a Robux pack. Missing a day delays the class; it does not delete Gold. Pair dailies with Golden Weekend when x2 Gold is up.

Co-op on day one

If friends insist on joining:

  • One person calls pause for shop.
  • One person watches the fish.
  • Medic is allowed to buy food first.
  • Do not all buy melee.

Loadout splits are on builds. If the lobby is random 18-player chaos, treat it as extra bodies, not a plan.

What success looks like after one hour

  • Both live codes redeemed.
  • Ranged weapon upgraded at least twice.
  • Food in the hotbar.
  • You know the pause button.
  • You have seen Floppa or died with a story.
  • You have a class you can name.

That is a complete first session. Open how to play next for the systems this page only sketched: perks, turrets, later bosses, and why green ground is a wipe.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Cat Invaders questions.

Should I play Cat Invaders solo as a beginner?

Yes if you want control. Solo spawns are tighter and pause shopping is calmer. Co-op is fine once someone knows the shop.

What should I buy first?

Melee only until about 200 Gold, then ranged (snowball line). Save walls until your damage can clear packs.

How do I get Alchemist?

Claim daily rewards through day 7. It is not a promo code.

When do I buy armor?

Before the first named boss. Many runs buy regen armor around 3,000 Gold near wave 50.
